Jazz
Jazz is a form of dance that showcases a dancer's individual style and originality.
Every jazz dancer interprets and executes moves and steps in their own way.
Jazz dancing is energetic and fun, consisting of unique moves, fancy footwork,
big leaps and quick turns. It encourages balance and strength and builds for
a well-rounded dancer.

Flexibility
Stretching is an important part of any athlete's routine. This class will take you through a bit of conditioning followed by a contortion style stretching routine. Dancers will learn the proper ways to execute each stretch while gaining the benefits of having a sole focus on stretching and conditioning. Dancers will certainly gain more flexibility in your back, shoulders, and legs.
Remember, flexibility is learned...you are not born with it.

Hip Hop Team
Audition only. This team will compete, perform and will meet once per week.

Class Design
From the beginning of our dance season students will learn proper technique in each disciplined area along with different combinations that will be put together and performed in our annual Holiday Showcase. From January through May, students will continue to learn new steps, working towards learning choreographed dances for their year-end showcase in May. When students are old enough to participate in all disciplines of dance at NSOD, they are then able to perform in our yearly performances including, Boston Celtics games, Walt Disney World, Watertown’s Faire on the Square, The Relay for Life and many other different fundraising events.
